CNY Central squad wins charity basketball game over Cumulus Media

The CNY Central basketball team was back in action on Saturday night, battling Cumulus media at Lafayette High School. All proceeds from the event went to the Shamrock Animal Fund.

The CNY Central squad started off on fire, building up a double-digit lead. But some hot shooting from Cumulus got the opponent back into it, only to have Tom Eschen three-pointer at the buzzer at the end of the half give the CNY Central team a sizable halftime lead.

After some more hot shooting from Cumulus, some big-time plays (and foul shots), from Sports Director Niko Tamurian, News Resources Manager Jeremy Ryan, meteorologist Peter Hall, and reporter Alex Dunbar were too much for the opponent to handle, giving the CNY Central team a 56-47 victory.

Stay tuned to find out when the team will be in action next, playing for another great cause!
