Crunch to wear '94 throwback uniform on Saturday

Eric Nielson shows off the Crunch's 1994 throwback jersey that the team will wear on Saturday, March 22.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, the Crunch will wear throwback uniforms from the 1994-95 season this Saturday when they take on the Albany Devils at the War Memorial.

To keep with the turn-back-the-clock theme, the team is also bringing 1994 prices back for the night. Tickets will be $12 and popcorn will be just $1 with the purchase of a regularly-priced Pepsi product.

Starting at 6 p.m., fans can bid on playersâ?? game-worn throwback jerseys during a silent auction on the second floor concourse outside of office 218. The silent auction will conclude at the start of the third period.

Fans are also invited to stay on after the tilt for a live auction of jerseys worn by Captain Mike Angelidis, Vlad Namestnikov, Kristers Gudlevskis, P.C. Labrie, Jonathan Marchessault and Eric Nielson on the ice.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Greater Palm Beach County chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Lonny Bohonos, a member of the Crunchâ??s inaugural 1994 team will also make a special appearance on â??Turn Back the Clock Nightâ??. Bohonos scored the first goal in Syracuse Crunch history and still ranks second among Crunch players in goals scored (104) and assists (126). Bohonos will sign autographs during the first intermission.
