A demonstration is planned at Syracuse University this morning to show support for the two former ball boys who accuse associate head basketball coach Bernie Fine of molesting them years ago.
Some of the people who plan to attend are part of a group called Road to Recovery.
The group is upset with how Bobby Davis and Mike Lang have been treated by the university community. They claim no one has offered a "compassionate and understanding hand," and instead has condemned both alleged victims.
In a press release, the group said it visited the Penn State campus last week to support the alleged victims there, but claims SU isn't protecting kids.
"Bobby and Mike came forward because they are seeking justice. They want to be heard, not condemned" said Rev. Robert Hoatson in a statement to the media. "Last week, we were at Penn State University to support the victims there. That university community seems to be 'getting it.' Jim Boeheim doesn't get it nor do the university officials who did not report the allegations of many years ago to the local District Attorney. Why is Syracuse University not protecting kids? When will Syracuse do the right thing?"
The rally is scheduled to start at 10:30 this morning.
Over the weekend, men's basketball head coach Jim Boeheim continued to throw his support behind Fine, calling the allegations "lies".
