Jonny Flynn has been named the NBA Rookie of the Month following his impressive play for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA Summer League.
Flynn had been on fire in the previous two games with 21 and 24 points respectively, and while his numbers weren't as impressive on Sunday night, his 7 points and 7 assists were highlighted by a fancy dunk late in the 4th quarter. While the Timberwolves lost 93-85 to the Bulls, the Flynn dunk symbolized the confidence he had build over the last week or so, and put a perfect exclamation point on the first phase of Jonny's NBA career.
Flynn averaged 15 points and 7.4 assists per game in the Las Vegas Summer League.
Paul Harris was happy to get into the game for over 20 minutes after scoring no points of Friday in just under 4 minutes, and not playing at all last night in a 100-96 loss to New Orleans. The undrafted Harris capped off his Summer League with a 6 point performance, and hopes he got somebody's attention as he continues to figure out where he might play this coming year.
