Syracuse Chiefs pitcher Taylor Hill was named the International League Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
Hill pitched 11 scoreless innings in starts for Syracuse, earning a win and a save in the process. In his first full season with Syracuse, he's tied for the League-lead in wins with six, and is third in the International League with a 1.63 ERA.
CNY Central's Tom Eschen caught up with Hill at NBT Bank Stadium recently, and asked him about everything from his hot start, pitching in the cold weather, his hobbies off the baseball diamond and his outlook on the future. Watch the video for the full interview with the Chiefs ace.
The Chiefs briefly took first place in the International League North Division on Sunday night, the latest in the season they've held possession of first since 2011. A 10-5 loss to Rochester put them .5 games back of the Red Wings on Monday.
