Hometown hockey team heating up- Crunch blanks Penguins

The Syracuse Crunch get the 4-0 victory over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Friday night at the War Memorial Arena.

Goaltender Anders Lindback shutout the Penguins in his Syracuse debut and the win improves the Crunch's overall record to 21-23-4-5 on the season and 3-5 in the series against Wilkes-Barre Scranton.

Lindback is on a two-day conditioning assignment with the Crunch, and is expected to return to Tampa soon.

Defenseman Matt Toarmina scored twice for the Crunch, while Drew Olsen and Tanner Richard contributed a goal of their own. Lindback stooped all 30 shots he faced.

The Crunch host the Adirondack Phantoms tonight at the War Memorial Arena at 7 p.m.
