Wed, 20 Mar 2013 16:29:44 GMT — The No. 4 seed Syracuse University men??s basketball team heads into the NCAA Tournament a decade after their famed Championship win over Kansas in 2003. But, how far will the Orange go in the NCAA Tournament? President Barack Obama has made his picks . The President has the Orange going to the Sweet Sixteen in his bracket, then falling to Indiana. He??s picked Indiana beat Louisville to win the Championship. Jimmy Fallon, host of NBC??s "Late Night," told viewers that he is rooting for the Orange. "Now, before we get started, I want to give a quick shout out to the team I'm rooting for this year in the NCAA Tournament; the Syracuse Orange," said Fallon. "Especially their starting forward, my man, Rakeem Christmas. His name is Christmas, and he's number 25. How cool is that? So everyone to get in the Christmas spirit and root on Rakeem and the Orange this Thursday night against Montana. Good luck guys! It??s gonna be fun!" Julie Chen, Host of CBS??s "The Talk," also picked the Orange to win the NCAA Tournament. Statistician Nate Silver, author of the New York Times?? FiveThirtyEight blog, predicts that Syracuse has the third highest likelihood of making it out of the East region and into the Final Four, behind Indiana and Miami. Silver??s calculations find that the Orange have a 5.7 percent chance of making it to the NCAA Championship and only a 2 percent chance at winning the Championship. Based on Silver??s calculations Louisville should beat Indiana to win the Championship. However, Silver writes, "A potential Round of 16 game against No. 4 Syracuse in Washington could be Indiana??s toughest test." Grantland.com??s Shane Ryan predicts that Syracuse will defeat Butler in the Sweet Sixteen to move on to the Final Four. Gary Parrish, of CBSSports.com, has Syracuse losing to UNLV in the third round. Parrish??s bracket has Louisville defeating Indiana for the Championship. The Orange take on the Montana Grizzlies in their first game of the Tournament on Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. Follow @NikoTamurian for live updates from the Tournament.
