Hundreds of dollars raised for charity as CNY Central hoops team falls to Immaculate Conception parents

The crowd goes wild at the Immaculate Conception parents defeat the CNY Central basketball team.

Hundreds of dollars were raised as the CNY Central basketball team battled the Immaculate Conception parents on Saturday night. More than $400 was raised for the Shamrock Animal Fund and the Brady Faith Center.

As for the game itself, CNY Central jumped out to an early lead, but a deep Immaculate Conception squad fought back into it, keeping the score close throughout. Despite some lead changes, the CNY Central squad held a slim one-point lead with less than two minutes to play. But, two three-pointers later, the packed gym erupting in delight, the IC squad outlasted CNY Central, winning 49-44.

CNY Central's Matt Mulcahy, Niko Tamurian, Peter Hall, Brandon Roth and Alex Dunbar were some of the CNY Central players on the court on Saturday.
