Call it a nice rebound.
After all, former SU basketball star Jerami Grant snagged five of them to go along with 12 points in Philadelphia's 21 point win over Houston in the NBA's Orlando Summer League 92-71.
This was especially significant for Grant, who recorded just four points total in two combined games so far in the Summer League.
Grant showed his typical athleticism that we saw in his time in Orange, throwing down a dunk in traffic to put Philly up 9-5 early along with a nice basket and foul in the latter portion of the game.
But, we also saw a part of Grant's game that we are not accustomed to.
Jerami was wide open and nailed a three pointer. Grant was 0-5 in all of the 2013-2014 season from beyond the arc, although we saw him make several mid-range jump shots.
Grant's next game with Philadelphia comes at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday when he squares off against former SU hoopster Donte Greene and the Brooklyn Nets.
Another former SU basketball star, Arinze Onuaku plays for Indiana at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. Both games are televised on NBA TV.
