The 60-42 Syracuse Chiefs are still at the top of the International League North Division, and with their season now in its stretch run, they're looking to continue their early-season momentum into the playoffs. The Chiefs haven't been in second place since June 4th.
They'll need to work overtime to do it though, as they're in the midst of playing 48 games in the regular season's final 47 days.
CNY Central's Tom Eschen spoke with Chiefs manager Billy Gardner Jr. this week. Gardner addressed the team's stretch run, the reason for the chemistry in the clubhouse, and how the team seems to always compete, even when the game looks all but over.
