OCC National Champs earn Title Rings

The Onondaga Community College Men's Lacrosse team has certainly put its mark on the college lacrosse world. OCC has won the National Championship 4 out of the last 5 seasons, and at today's fall ball alumni game the last year's team earned its title rings.

The rings are filling with stunning diamonds, and to hear each player's reaction as they opened the ring box was priceless for Head Coach Chuck Wilbur. "They finally get (the rings) several months after winning it and it was well worth the wait, and just seeing your faces, you just can't put that into words" Wilbur said.

While the current team won the game 18-14, despite a furious late rally by the alumni squad, everyone on the field at OCC Saturday was a winner. The team that got their rings, and the incoming freshman who no doubt will be hungry to get their own ring after seeing today's ceremony.
