We told you all week about how the Valley Stallions won an Eastern Championship and needed significant fund raising to make the trip to the National Championships at Disney World.
They raised enough money to make the trip, and now are making it worth their while.
The Stallions took on West New Haven Connecticut in their first game (National Quarterfinal) this afternoon at Disney and came away with a 26-20 overtime victory.
Cincear Torrence scored three touchdowns, including the game winner in overtime to lead the Stallions to victory.
The contest with West New Haven was a back and forth affair, with ties at 7-7, 14-14, and 20-20. The game went to the extra session tied at 20.
In overtime, West New Haven had the ball first, but fumbled a shotgun snap. After that, the Stallions just needed to score to win, and that's what Torrance did from three yards out.
With the win, Valley advances to the "final four" or the national semifinal. They'll take on Palmetto Bay, Florida on Tuesday morning at 10:30.
If Valley can win that game, the Stallions will earn a spot in the National Championship on Friday, December 7th.
