Orange unveil redesigned uniforms vs. UConn

The Orange hoops squad is debuting new gear for tonight TMs big game with Big East rival UConn.
CNY Central has confirmed with the Syracuse University Athletics Department that the men TMs basketball team will be wearing redesigned uniforms when they face the Connecticut Huskies in the Carrier Dome Wednesday night. The uniforms, designed by Nike, are said to utilize less material and feel lighter, in addition to being more breathable.
Syracuse TMs new uniforms incorporate several Nike innovations that were originally introduced in Beijing. The Hyper Elite uniforms take advantage of Nike Aerographics - an engineered mesh providing zoned cooling that reduces up to half the yarn, making the uniforms more lightweight and breathable said Nike in a press release Wednesday.
The new jerseys will feature silhouettes of familiar University landmarks on the back, including the Dome, Carnegie Library, and the Hall of Languages, one of the oldest buildings on the SU campus. The University's founding year of 1870 is also included in the design.
We're told that UConn will also unveil newly designed jerseys of their own in tonight's game.
The AP #2 and coaches #3 ranked Orange take on the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. The game will be televised live on ESPN as part of the network's Rivalry Week coverage.
