With a 3-0 shutout of Babson, the Oswego State Lakers advanced to their fifth consecutive D-III Frozen Four this afternoon.

Freshman forward Shawn Hulshof put the Lakers on the board first with a power play goal. Less than two minutes later fellow freshman Matt Galati notched his 24th goal of the season to give Oswego a 2-0 lead after one period.

Just under five minutes into the second Oswego handed Babson their first power play opportunity of the day, but Sophomore Brandon Adams was able to push the Lakersâ?? lead to 3-0 on a short-handed goal.

Despite being outshot 12-1 in the first period, Babson poured 26 shots on freshman netminder Matt Zawadzki over the next two. Zawadzki turned away all 27 shots he faced to give the Lakers the shutout.

Oswego now advances to the Frozen Four in Lewiston, ME, where they will face Wisconsin Stevens-Point at 7:30 p.m. in the Semifinals round this Friday.

With their 3-2 win over Norwich, fellow SUNYAC team Geneseo will join Oswego in the Frozen Four. Geneseo will take on St. Norbert on Friday at 4 p.m.
