It was a sight to behold as hundreds, if not thousands of teddy bears were launched onto the ice at the Syracuse Crunch game on Saturday night.
It was all part of the Crunch's "Teddy Toss"
Fans were encouraged to bring new or gently used teddy bears to Saturday's game with Wilkes-Barre Scranton. After the first goal of the game (scored by Syracuse's Brett Connolly) those fans tossed the stuffed toys onto the ice and before long the playing surface was more teddy bear than it was ice.
Those stuffed animals will now be refurbished by Stanley Steemer and then donated to the Salvation Army.

The Crunch would easily handle the Penguins tonight 4-0. Syracuse was helped by goals from Connolly, Alex Killorn, Pierre-Cedric Labrie, and Tyler Johnson.
Syracuse is back in action Friday at the War Memorial against Adirondack.
