As t he PGA Championship prepares to begin this week in South Carolina , Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester was already preparing to host the event in 2013. The 95th anniversary of the Championship will be just down the road for those in the Syracuse area, and organizers are urging golf fans to but their tickets early.
The last time the PGA Championship was held at Oak Hill Country Club was in 2003, a triumphant return to Rochester after not hosting the event since 1980. This time Central New York golf fans only had to wait 10 years to watch the best in the PGA battle the east course, competing once again for the Wanamaker Trophy.
