Syracuse freshman Tyler Ennis has been named one of six finalists for the 2014 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award.
In his first year with the Orange, Ennis made ACC history, becoming the only freshman to lead the league in assists and steals.
The numbers he has put up for Coach Jim Boeheim have been outstanding, averaging 5.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game. The SU point guard also ranks 9th in the nation in assist to turnover ratio. His efficient point guard abilities earned him a spot on this years All-ACC Second Team and the All-Freshman Team. Marcus Paige of North Carolina, Shabazz Napier from Connecticut and Aaron Craft of Ohio State are also included on the list.
The winner of the 2014 Bob Cousy Award will be announced in North Texas at the Hall of Fame's Class Announcement on championship Monday.
