The Syracuse Menâ??s Basketball team was the unanimous choice for number one for the second week in a row in the Associated Press poll.
The Orange avoided a letdown on February 3 with a 61-55 win over Notre Dame behind Trevor Cooneyâ??s career 33-point night.
Syracuse rounded out their first week at #1 with a win over Clemson on Sunday night. Syracuse is entering a tough stretch, with a game Wednesday night at #25 Pitt, a notoriously difficult place to play. Then home against NC State and Boston College before a rematch against Duke at Cameron Indoor February 22.
The Orange may be getting bitten by the injury bug, with DaJuan Coleman already out for the season and Baye Keita suffering a sprained knee in the Orangeâ??s win over Clemson.
Keitaâ??s status is unknown for the trip to Pitt.
The top 5 was unchanged this week, with Arizona, Florida, Wichita State and San Diego State staying at two through five respectively.
