SU women head to NCAA Tournament for second consecutive year

The SU women will be making their first-ever back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearance this Saturday when they take on Chattanooga in Lexington, KY. The Orangeâ??s 22-9 record earned them a sixth seed in the tournament.

The bid is the sixth in program history, though Syracuse has yet to win a March Madness match.

â??Obviously when it's there it's over your head and people talk about it a lot,â?? said head coach Quentin Hillsman. â??But we're just going in as we're facing an opponent and we want to win."

Syracuse will look for that elusive first tournament win on March 22 when they meet 29-3 Chattanooga in the first round of the 64-team tournament. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
