April 17, 2013.
It doesn't seem too long ago, but in reality, it was 386 days ago.
That was the last time the Syracuse Chiefs sported a record over .500.
Tuesday, the Chiefs finally got past that mark.
Will Rhymes' 2-run single in the 7th inning turned a 2-1 deficit for Syracuse into a 3-2 win over the Durham Bulls.
With the win, of course, Syracuse's record is now 16-15 and while we're only about 20% through the season there is reason for optimism among local baseball fans.
The Chiefs continue their homestand against Durham through Thursday. After a one week road trip, Syracuse will be back in town on May 17.
