The Syracuse Crunch continued to play better hockey on Friday night, beating the Hershey Bears 3-2 in the War Memorial.
Syracuse got on the board less than ten minutes into the game. Eric Neilson hustled to corral the puck near the boards, chipping it out to Tanner Richard, who dodged one defender and sent a perfect pass to captain Mike Angelidis, who fired the puck past David Leggio for the first goal of the game.
Hershey responded later in the first, as Chay Genoway got a goal to tie the game at one heading into the second period.
In that second period Vladislav Namestnikov scored a shorthanded goal and Jon DiSalvatore added another to give the Crunch the 3-1 lead. Syracuse went on to win 3-2.
The Crunch hosts the Binghamton Senators on Saturday night in the War Memorial. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
