The Calder Cup Finals are on their way back to Syracuse.

In response to the Syracuse Crunch's memorable 2016-17 season, the Crunch have teamed up with Destiny USA to recognize the team's outstanding season.

On Monday afternoon, the media was invited to the rooftop of Destiny USA to watch the flag be raised high above the mall.

It will remain there until the conclusion of the finals.

"It's a very symbolic partnership between not only Destiny USA, but also the entire community," Crunch COO Jim Sarosy said. "This is really in that center spot. Everybody's going to be passing it. It's another symbolic gesture by the community and by a leader in the community to help support this run.

"I'm expecting it to be three sellouts, very difficult for Grand Rapids to play in," he continued. "They held serve. They're undefeated on home ice. We're undefeated on home ice. We're going to take that and make it happen, and then go back to Grand Rapids and take a game there."

Game 3 of the Calder Cup Finals will take place Wednesday night at 7 p.m. from the War Memorial.
