Syracuse Crunch shutout Bulldogs in Hamilton

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch shut out the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-0 tonight at the Copps Coliseum. The victory is Head Coach Jon Cooper's 100th career AHL win, bringing is regular season AHL coaching record to 100-45-20.
The Crunch improve to 6-1-1-1 overall and 5-0-0-1 on the road, they have collected at least one point in every road game this season.
Goals were scored by Dmitry Korobov, JT Wyman and Richard Panik. Crunch goaltender Riku Helenius turned in a perfect performance, stopping all 23 shots he faced.
After a scoreless opening frame Korobov opened the scoring at the 6:01 mark of the second period when he lofted a shot on net that floated past Bulldogs netminder Robert Mayer. The goal was Korobov's first of the season, assisted by Matt Taormina. Wyman knocked the puck past Mayer, after it rebounded off the boards from behind the Bulldogs net, to double the Crunch lead at the 15:40 mark of the second stanza. Alex Killorn and Radko Gudas were credited with the assists.
Panik added an empty-net goal, assisted by Ondrej Palat, at the 18:14 mark of the third period to secure the 3-0 victory.
The Crunch will face the Bulldogs again at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
