Syracuse Football salivating for Seawolves and a win

The SU Football team may not be getting ready for a powerhouse football team this week like they were for Northwestern and USC in week one and two, but practice has been more intense than it's been all year for the 0-and-2 Orange. "This has been the hardest week of practice for this opponent", says Jay Bromley.

The Orange are hungry for their first win in the last eight games this Saturday when they take on Stoney Brook, a team that beat division two Pace last weekend 77-7. While Syracuse has been dubbed the best 0-and-2 team in College Football after a one point loss to Northwestern and 13 point defeat to USC, they may arguably be one of the most confident.

"We have confidence, but not to much," says junior center Macky MacPherson, "we've hung with some good teams and unfortunately we just haven't come out on top in either game".

And while starting quarterback Ryan Nassib knows that his offense should be O.K. play with the same intensity as they did in the first two weeks, he's not taking the Seawolves lightly.

"{Stony Brook} has put up some serious numbers," says Nassib, "they have some good guys over there doing some good things".

"We aren't taking them lightly," adds MacPherson, "we are taking them like every other opponent".
