Fans at Syracuse University Men's Soccer games this fall may think they're at a Section III all-star game.
They might as well be.
That's because the Orange managed to keep three of the best high school players home, to play for the hometown team starting on Friday.
As you can imagine, all three are excited to get this season going, representing a team they grew up rooting for.
"It felt great, you know, just putting the orange and blue on I've wanted to do this since I was a freshman in high school" said Stamaulacatos.
"I'm so fortunate to be able to represent my city" Ben Ramin says. He adds "My father and both of my uncles went to this school and played at this school and it's really a privelege to be here".
Speaking of family, the "CNY Three" has its first home game in front of family and friends on Friday night at the SU Soccer Stadium adjacent to Manley Field House, the Orange will take on Albany at 7 o'clock.
The players could mark a great trend of keeping the local talent home and they also usher in a new era of Syracuse Soccer as of course, the Orange heads to the ACC in 2013.
