Turning Stone teaches CNY Central's Niko Tamurian some golf tips

Turning Stone Resort and Casino's Golf Dome is really, the only place in Central New York to hit golf balls, indoors, during the frigid winter months.

So with the temperatures hovering around 10 degrees today, some of our CNY Central team headed to Turning Stone to get a mid-winter tune up.

For starters, the golf dome is undergoing an exciting expansion, that will be completed for a "grand opening" on January 14th which golf fans all over the state are sure to enjoy. One new tool is the "Flight Scope" which measures all sorts of data on your golf swing, and sets you up with the proper equipment to play your game.

That's for another installment, but for my first lesson I was paired with PGA Professional Andy Myers. I'm probably a little worse than the average golfer, with a handicap hovering around 19 or 20. Okay, I'm not proud of it, but Myers instantly found some flaws, and after one lesson, significant changes in my swing, and results were on display, check out the video player to see what I mean.

With results like that, I'm excited for lesson #2!
