Two SU men's basketball exhibition games announced

Donâ??t look now, but the Syracuse menâ??s basketball season will be here before you know it.

On Monday, SU Athletics announced the dates and opponents of the two home exhibition games the Orange will play before the start of the 2014-15 regular season. SU will host the Carleton University Ravens on Sunday, November 2 and the Adrian College Bulldogs on Monday, November 10.

The four-time defending Canadian national champion Ravens, out of Ottawa, are familiar foes for the Orange. Just last summer they played in Ottawa as part of SUâ??s four-game Canadian exhibition tour. The Orange defeated the Ravens 69-65 in overtime behind 18 points from current Philadelphia 76er Jerami Grant and 15 points from current Phoenix Sun Tyler Ennis. Carleton has won 10 of the last 12 Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) titles and has a 292-14 record since 2000.

Adrian College is a Division III school located in Adrian, Michigan. They have never met the Orange on the basketball court. They were 5-20 a season ago, which SU says â??marked the first time in Coach Mark Whiteâ??s five-year tenure that the Bulldogs were below .500.â??

The Orange finished 28-5 last season, losing to Dayton in the NCAA Tournament round of 32. They lost C.J. Fair, Grant, and Ennis to the NBA, where all three have played in summer league games this month.
