Utica Comets enjoy confines of War Memorial, beat Crunch in OT

In its first appearance in the War Memorial, the Utica Comets came back to beat the Syracuse Crunch 2-1 in overtime on Friday night.

The Crunch scored first, as Pierre-Cedric Labrie scored in the first period to give Syracuse a 1-0 lead. That lead would last until the second, when Cedric Desjardins was pepppered with shot after shot in just a 15-second period, with Nicklas Jensen finally cashing in to tie the game.

In the overtime period, Brandon DeFazio scored with less than a minute to play, giving Utica the 2-1 victory.
