CJ Fair practices for game against Indiana
Thu, 28 Mar 2013 04:03:42 GMT — SU Basketball fans are just excited they can check out the Orange on the East Coast, as opposed to 3,000 miles away last week. But for a couple Orange stars, the location in Washington D.C. couldn't have been much better. Jerami Grant and C.J. Fair are both from Maryland, and grew up rooting for the Washington Wizards of the NBA. Now the duo can help deliver Syracuse to the Final Four on the Wizards' home floor. "It's fun being close to home, a lot of my family will get to come out (to the game)" said Fair. "It's always good to see your family in the crowd" Fair added. Jerami Grant echoes that sentiment. "It's definitely exciting, I just can't wait to get out there" Grant said. Syracuse is the closest team to Washington of the four schools playing the East Regional finals (Indiana, Marquette, and Miami) Growing up in the Maryland/DC area also means that Fair and Grant are very familiar with Indiana's star Victor Oladipo who is from this area too. More on that to come.
