Michael Borsz was named the new Athletic Director at Onondaga Community College on Thursday afternoon.
Borsz, a West Genesee high school graduate, worked as an athletic administrator and coach at Wells College, Catholic University and Colgate University. Borsz graduated with a bachelor's degree from Hobart College and got his Master's degree in Education from Catholic University.
"I am thrilled and honored to be the new Athletic Director at Onondaga Community College," Borsz said in a press release. "I am fortunate to build upon the excellent and well-established foundation of the College's athletics program, and I look forward to continuing the momentum and working with the staff, coaches and our student-athletes."
"Mike has a demonstrated commitment to the academic, social, personal and athletic success of student-athletes and is passionate about ensuring that student-athletes succeed both on and off the field. We are excited to have him lead our athletic programs," David Murphy, OCC Senior Vice President, said in a press release.
Borsz assumes the position after the tragic passing of Rob Edson back in September.
