High school golfers pose with Symetra professionals at Drumlins Country Club on Monday

The seventh annual Symetra Tour Pro-Junior Challenge at Drumlins Country Club took place on Monday afternoon, featuring a record 17 high school from across Central New York.

The high school foursomes were paired with one Symetra Tour professional in a nine-hole scramble format, won by participants from Auburn High School, featuring soon to be senior Larissa Carter. As the Section III Champion, Carter will compete alongside the professionals in the 2013 Credit Union Classic starting this Friday, July 26.

"I'm really excited to see how my game is with them and I'm just hoping I can stick it out," Carter says. "It'll be fun to just be around people that are at a better game level than me, just be able to play up to them and hopefully get my standards up to their level."
