Arch rivals battle to a tie in high school soccer

Two central New York rivals faced each other in what turned out to be an intense matchup at Liverpool High School. Cicero-North Syracuse (0-0-1) and the Liverpool (1-0-2) boys soccer team went into extended play late Wednesday night. After regulation, the score was tied at 0-0.

With two 10-minute over-times and penalty kicks, the game remained scoreless and forced a tie between both teams. Goalkeeper Morgan Miller of Cicero-North Syracuse and goalkeeper Cody Peck for Liverpool each had noteworthy performances, saving 5 and 6 goals, respectively.

The Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars will face the Rochester Aquinas on Friday, September 6th at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Liverpool Warriors will travel to Auburn High School for a 10:00 a.m. matchup.
