Central New York has two new soccer champions.
In Class AA, it was Baldwinsville making it to the championship game in dramatic fashion after they topped Liverpool with a Connor Lunduski goal with five minutes to play.
Lunduski struck again tonight, and was aided by an incredible header from Nicholas Gates as the Bees defeated their rival Fayetteville-Manlius for the Class AA title.
Nicholas Lindovski recorded five saves for the Bees in this one as well.
Earlier on in the evening, it was the upstart 7th seeded Skaneateles Lakers hoping to upend Westhill for the Class B Section III championship.
For a while, it looked like they would.
Sam Clymer spotted the Lakers an early 1-0 lead.
Then, Barak BenYehuda took over.
Barak scored twice, including a rocket past the Laker netminder to help Westhill earn the Class B title by way of a 2-1 victory.
The Warriors and Bees now earn the right to represent Central New York against the rest of the state.
