The Carrier Dome hosted the Tip-Off Classic Sunday, four games highlighting 8 teams from the central New York area.
First of the day was Skaneateles taking on Marcellus and this one was close for the first 3 quarters. It was 37-36 Skaneateles entering the fourth and they would go on a scoring run. The Lakers outscored the Mustangs 22-4 to end the game led by Chris Knupp who finished the game with 14 points.
The second game of the afternoon featured West Genesee hosting the School of the Arts for both teams' first game of the season. The Wildcats were dominant throughout more than doubling their opponent for an 83-41 victory.
Liverpool looked to remain undefeated taking on the Baldwinsville Bees, and they would do just that. The Warriors come away with the 19 point victory 87-68. Caleb Taylor paced the 'Pool with 29 points.
In the last game of the night it was the Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets against the C-NS Northstars. Hornets took an 11 point lead into the halftime break and that margin would continue to grow throughout the second half. Hornets were led by John Schurman who had 27 points and Tomer Nesher who finished with 19 points. The Northstars were led by Michael Lumia who had 13 point and three 3-pointers. But it was the Hornets coming away with the 73-48 victory.
