ES-M secures Class A regular season title with win over Nottingham

East Syracuse Minoa meant business tonight as they secured first place in Class A and put themselves in prime seeding for the Section III tournament with their 31-12 win over Nottingham.

The Spartansâ?? Nick Cesarini got things rolling when he picked off Najaliek Williams and returned the interception 42 yards for a touchdown.

Just before halftime Sean Richardson found Patrick Bryant for an 8-yard reception that gave ES-M a 17-0 lead. Richardson and Bryant would connect on two more touchdowns, including a 65-yard reception that put the Spartans ahead by 25 points in the fourth quarter.

Richardson finished the night completing 10 of his 17 passing attempts for 199 yards and three touchdowns. Bryant added an interception to his stat line, in addition to his trio of touchdown receptions.

ESM is 6-1 on the year and will host New Hartford next week.
