Friday night hoops for January 22

Only one game separated the 11-1 Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars and the 10-2 Utica-Proctor Raiders when they got together Friday night to battle for the top spot in the National Division. Both teams showed up to play, but it was C-NS who looked like the stronger team all night.

Northstars center Andy Falvey played strong underneath the hoop, sinking 21 points which opened up the perimeter for the rest of his team. The Raiders were too good of a team to go down without a fight and continued to play hard throughout the game, but the Northstars were able to put a stop to any run the Raiders tried to make.

In the end, C-NS was able to hang on for the win and increase their lead in the National Division.

Henninger downs Baldwinsville 77-48. It was all Henninger from the beginning as they got out to a quick 15-3 lead in the first quarter at home tonight. The Bees just didn TMt seem to have an answer for the Knights who were running all night. Henninger finished the game with four players in double digits.
