High school sports endure rainy weather on Tuesday

Despite on and off rain showers throughout the day on Tuesday, some high school sports still went on as scheduled. (Some baseball/softball games were rescheduled due to the poor conditions).
The biggest matchup of the day was between two Class B schools, 6th State Ranked Westhill hosting 1st Ranked Cazenovia. The Lakers led 4-2 at the half, and after taking a 5-2 lead in the third quarter, withstood two more Warriors goals in the fourth to remain undefeated, winning 5-4.
In another good matchup, two 5-2 squads, F-M and Baldwinsville met in Manlius, and it was the Hornets who came out with the 17-14 victory, thwarting Baldwinsville coach Pete Fiorini's effort to win his 400th game.
The Jamesville-Dewitt Red Rams made quick work of the Chittenango Bears, scoring early and often and went on to win 22-2.
Auburn took care of business on their home turf against the Corcoran Cougars, 10-4. Sean Lattimore had three goals for the Maroons.
ESM headed to Fulton for a battle and left with the victory. Eight different players scored for ESM in the 11-4 victory.
