J-D, Liverpool boys basketball teams fall in New York Final Four
Two Central New York Boys Basketball enjoyed fantastic campaigns, making it to the New York State Semifinals.
In the end, two squads from Rochester were too much, sending the Section V Champion to the title game, while the Section III winner is home for the season.
In Class AA, Fairport raced to a 15-2 lead that Liverpool could never recover from en route to a 69-52 win.
Nas Johnson led the way with 15 points, and while the end isn't what the Warriors were hoping for, there's certainly plenty of optimism after just two years of Head Coach Ryan Blackwell's stamp on the program.
Remember, the Warriors started the season 0-4, only to rebound and win the Section III title.
Charles Pride chipped in 9 points while Cooper Chaffee scored 8.
Meanwhile, in Class A, Jamesville-DeWitt forged a seven point third quarter advantage thanks to a first half double-double from Buddy Boeheim.
But, as Buddy found himself in foul trouble, Irondequoit found itself rallying for the win, 68-56 over the Red Rams.
Boeheim finished with 25 points, and the Red Rams finish their season 21-4.
