Each of the boys and girls lacrosse teams from Section 3 won their state regional final, meaning all six will represent their respective classes in the State Final Four.
The Fayetteville-Manlius boys will represent Section III in Class A, as they beat Corning 6-4 on Wednesday. The Hornets advance to the state semifinal on Wednesday at C-NS. They'll face Fairport at 3:30 p.m.
In Class A girls lacrosse, West Genesee dominated Ithaca 18-1, winning the Class A Region Title. The Wildcats will play Friday in the State Semifinals at SUNY Cortland. First draw control is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. against either Lancaster or Mendon/Sutherland.
Jamesville-Dewitt boys also dominated in their Class B region title game, beating Massena 18-4. The Red Rams face Victor or Hamburg in the state semifinals on Wednesday at C-NS. Faceoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
In Class B, the CBA girls shutout Vestal in the second half, winning 7-4 and taking home the Class B Region Title. The Brothers, who won the state title last season, will take on either Hamburg or Victor in the final four on Friday. Game time is set for 9:30 a.m. at SUNY Cortland.
Undefeated Cazenovia and one-loss Salmon River battled in Class C, but it was the Lakers who will return to the state semifinals with a 7-4 win. The defending state champs will take on Penn Yan or Akron on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at C-NS.
Skaneateles continued their dominance in Class C, routing Owego 17-2 en route to the semifinals. The Lakers will face either Lake Shore or Honeoye Falls-Lima on Friday at noon, with the game taking place at SUNY Cortland.
