Baldwinsville's Jonathan Starling sizes up the opposing defense. The Bees clinched a playoff berth with a 76-67 win over West Genesee (Nick DeRocha)

Better late than never is an old cliche', but for Baldwinsville Boys Basketball it fits just fine.

The Bees topped West Genesee 76-67 in its last game of the season on Monday night behind 19 points from Casey Pluff.

The win secures the Bees a spot in the Class AA playoffs. It was also Baldwinsville's final regular season game.

8th grader Jonathan Starling dropped 12 points and Jacob Marshall scored 17 for Tim Solomon's squad which has looked fantastic down the stretch.

The Section III playoff pairings will be announced on Wednesday.

With that, other schools are working out the kinks before playoffs against power schools.
