The Homer Trojans (6-0) stayed undefeated in a shootout victory over the Marcellus Mustangs (3-3) on Friday night.
The Trojans fell down early, as Tom Keegan hit Wyatt Stehle for a touchdown in the first quarter. They then converted on the 2-point try. It did not take long for Homer to answer as Jayden Gavidia run back the ensuing kickoff 88 yards to go down two after a missed extra point.
The teams traded touchdowns again, but Homer turned the tide when they recovered an onside kick, finally pulling away from the back and forth battle with the 58-45 victory.
In the win, Homer's Alec Bush ran for 322 yards and four touchdowns.
