Baldwinsville baseball shut out Oswego this afternoon, coming up with a 2-0 win. Senior Scott Blewett came up with an RBI double in the third to extend the Bees lead, and that was all the team needed. Brett DeLola earned the shutout on the mound for Baldwinsville.
Liverpool baseball trailed by four heading into the fifth, but a three-run inning put the Warriors back in the game. Liverpool had another chance to take the lead in the final frame, with the bases loaded and one out down 7-5. But F-M finished things off, as Nick Claver flied out to right fielder Taylor Smach, who proceeded to throw a bullet to home plate, forcing Tom Karins to turn around and head back to third. But, Don Pauldine got stuck between first and second, resulting in an easy tag-out and a game ending double play. The win puts F-M in a tie with West Genesee in the CNYCL American standings.
