Two games decided by a combined four points in high school hoops

Jafar Kinsey skies for the layup against CBA on Sunday night

The 27th Annual Bottar Leone Holiday Classic featured two nailbiters on Sunday night, as the two semifinal games were decided by a combined four points.

The first game between Henninger and Nazareth Regional (out of Brooklyn) was close throughout, with one of the largest leads coming late in the fourth by the Black Knights. But, Nazareth came back, making key foul shots and key stops on defense en route to a 50-47 victory.

The nightcap between CBA and J-D was a bit different, as the Red Rams jumped out to a double figure lead early in the first half, only to have the Brothers come back in the second and momentarily take the lead. But, a late Jafar Kinsey layin in the closing seconds was the difference, as J-D remained undefeated with a 47-46 win.

J-D and Nazareth will play in the Championship tomorrow at CBA at 7:15, while Henninger and CBA will play in the Consolation game at 5:30, also at CBA.
