The Bishop Grimes girls basketball team (4-1) beat the Marcellus Mustangs (2-2) 51-44 on Monday night.
The Lady Cobras started off hot, in particular Tina Hogue, who hit three threes and had the first 11 points of the game for Grimes. That start pushed the Cobras to a 28-15 lead at the half. But, behind Lauren Soule's 16 second half points, the Mustangs pulled within four points. Jordan Vaught then responded with a three-pointer of her own, three of her game-high 18 points.
The Cobras coasted from there, going on to win 51-44. Hogue finished with 15 in the victory.
