Watch- Live interview with Mika Adams-Woods on his prep school deicision

Bishop Ludden's Mika Adams-Woods celebrates after knocking down a three-pointer, helping the Gaelic Knights defeat Rochester Aquinas. On Tuesday, Mika announced he'd attend New Hampton Prep School in New Hampshire for his senior year.

Mika Adams-Woods from Bishop Ludden will be taking his talents from Syracuse to New Hampshire.

Adams-Woods, who has been the starting point-gaurd for the Gaelic Knights for three consecutive seasons will not return to play for them next season. He was given the opportunity to play for a prep school in New Hampshire, the New Hampton School.

“I think it is going to be a good move for me. I’m going to get better on and off the court, and just achieve my goal”.

Adams-Woods is looking forward to evolving as a person, on and off the court at the New Hampton School.

“I definitely need to work on getting stronger and being a leader, so I think going to prep school will help take care of all of that.”

While Adams-Woods is very excited to be playing for New Hampton next year, it was a difficult decision for him to leave his friends, teammates, and coaches.

“I gotta do what is best for me to get to where I gotta go, but it’s going to be emotional.”

Adams-Woods has a bright future ahead of him. He plans on limiting distractions and hitting the books hard next year so he can hopefully land a spot on a Division 1 basketball program. He already has offers from several Division-I programs according to such as Canisius, East Carolina, George Washington, and Georgia Tech.

Undoubtedly, the move to prep school will lead to more major offers.
