Westhill Boys Basketball wins 5th New York State Championship
Kevin King is forging quite the dynasty at Westhill.
The names may change, but the same undeniable work ethic stays the same and it's paying off for the Warriors once again.
Westhill stormed out of the gates and never looked back in an 80-62 rout of Canton from Section X on Saturday night in the New York State Class B Championship game.
With the win, the Warriors have won five New York State Basketball Championships.
Floor general Sean Dadey almost recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists while Kameren Jackson led the way with 22 points.
Owen Matukas and John Geer were in double figures as well with 15 and 11 points respectively.
The Warriors win it all with an overall record of 25-1, the lone loss of the season coming against Class A semifinalist Jamesville-DeWitt.
The New York State title is obviously the goal of every team, but there's a chance for the proverbial cherry on top next week, Westhill will play in the annual Federation Championship in Glens Falls.
