With new banners in the rafters, Crunch beats up Rochester

The Syracuse Crunch raised their East Division Title and Eastern Conference banners and beat a rival in Rochester on Saturday night 5-1 in front of a crowd of more than 6,000 fans.

After neither team was able to score in the first period, the Crunch scored three goals in the second, J.T. Brown, Artem Sergeev and Nikita Kucherov all scored on a powerplay. Kucherov would add two more goals in the third for a hat trick, and the Crunch coasted to the 5-1 win.

The squad is in action at the War Memorial once again on Sunday at 5 pm against Wilkes/Barre Scranton.
