Cardiac 'Cuse: No. 1 Orange squeak out road win over No. 17 North Carolina

The season of the comeback continues to for the Syracuse Orange.

Once trailing 10-5 to North Carolina in the third quarter, the Orange stormed back behind the stellar play of redshirt freshman Stephen Rehfuss (two goals) and senior Sergio Salcido (three goals).

Syracuse ventured to Chapel Hill and came away with a 12-11 win, in overtime.

Syracuse jumped out to the early 4-1 lead, but quickly watched it evaporate. North Carolina ripped off seven consecutive goals to take the commanding lead.

However, the Orange are accustomed to late rallies. Entering Saturday's contest with the Tar Heels, the Orange had already won three games after trailing by four or more goals entering the fourth quarter.

After Saturday, make that four wins.

With the win, the Orange improve to 10-1 overall and clinch the top seed in the ACC Tournament. Syracuse will be back in action next Saturday, April 22, from the Carrier Dome, taking on Binghamton for a 2 p.m. start.

The game will also signify Senior Day for the program.
