SU Basketball grad transfer Geno Thorpe leaving program for "personal reasons"
Geno Thorpe is gone before Syracuse basketball fans got to know him.
Only six games into his one and only season in Orange, the grad transfer who last played at South Florida, has left the program.
The Syracuse men's basketball Twitter account broke the news just before 3 p.m. on Friday.
Thorpe, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., averaged 15.1 points per game for the Bulls last season.
Through six games with the Orange, Thorpe was averaging 6.0 points, 1.0 assist, 0.8 rebound per game.
Among the top eight contributors this season, Thorpe is averaging the least minutes played with 14.3 per game.
