SU Women's Lacrosse opens season victorious, takes care of UConn 23-11
The Syracuse University women's lacrosse team earned a 23-11 victory in its season opener Friday night, taking care of Connecticut in lopsided fashion.
The Orange led 9-8 at halftime after losing the face-off draw 12-6 in the opening half.
Syracuse sophomore Emily Harwyschuk led the Orange with six points, including a team-high four goals.
Three more players tallied hat tricks on the night, while Orange goalie Asa Goldstock recorded 11 saves in the win.
Syracuse will next travel to Portland, Oregon to meet the Oregon Ducks on Sunday, February 18 at 4 p.m. ET.
